- chemistry between kvothe and denna isn’t very believable, perhaps it’s because kvothe says he’s not very good with girls but frankly that doesn’t seem to be souring how he’s doing with denna
- pacing feels like it’s losing tension the longer it goes on, or rather, not building it
- writing is definitely amateur but still captivating and oftentimes enchanting
