Every Christian book I've read on parenting has the same speech: "Did you know discipline doesn't equal punishment? Unlike other books, I don't guarantee outcomes." *laughing emoji*
I'm looking forward to reading this book, but I do find it funny how many books start with this little intro.

Rachelle Cobb I’ve read dozens of parenting books so far and even the secular ones often start with that point. It does feel a bit repetitive to our ears (eyes LOL?) but I think it may feel necessary to the authors, who are assuming most readers won’t read as many parenting books as we are and want to make sure that point is made :)

Rachelle Cobb And I forgot to add that I think 30-40 years ago, the opposite philosophy (punishment and outcome promises) was more common, at least from what I’ve read!
