Some interesting developments here:
(1) Yumi recognized the form of the nightmares; not sure if real or if this was more a primal thing
(2) Nightmares can absorb the soul just like the device the scholars used

At this point fuck the conflict I’m just enjoying their being around each other. Brother I LOVE YUMI! She’s so adorable (and her fixation and reaction to the TV show is hella real)

There were some good developments this chapter tho. Noriko handled Liyun sexually tbh, and Yumi found the resolve and clarity to deal with the way she was groomed and how to move forward with her life.
