Lenore is so witty. She’s spouting absolute gold of one liners. I just wish she adopted this sass earlier in the story to make it more meaningful of a character development. Also where the f*ck is Carmilla?

So far, the story has less action than I expected. I hope it’s picking up soon and not just being kept until the very end. At least we’re finding out more about the pastilles. Hate to think that Carmilla knew that it’s poison all along and let’s Lenore have it by not telling her what it is directly. Why keep being so cryptic? It’s annoying.

Why is she working so hard for her ingrate absent husband? Did I miss something? Why does she feel like she absolutely HAS to do everything even though she feels unwell and knows the ask is unreasonable? What is she trying to prove?
