~ Dahlia’s birthday is coming up–I know because Jasmine informed me at Thanksgiving–and I wanted to read her favorite books and annotate them as a present. I saw the idea while scrolling through TikTok late last night when I couldn’t sleep, and I immediately knew she would love it.

~ I know what it feels like to get older and wonder how long it’ll take to find someone to settle down with. He’s thirty and our parents had been married for ten years by this age. It’s hard not to wonder why it’s different for us.

~ The way her and Sebastian look at each other … it’s that all-consuming, I-can’t-breathe-without-you kind of love. He looked at her like he’d crawl through fire on his hands and knees to get to her every morning if it meant he spent the rest of the day by her side. It was almost difficult to look at them because of how bright their love burned.

~ All of this makes me long for a house with plenty of windows and a yard instead of the closed-in apartment I live in now. It’s so beautiful and full of life.
