Ok not even finished but just read some reviews that are pissing me off…
People saying this isn’t introspective or a memoir because it’s about her family/new Orleans. Its almost as if we are directly affected/shaped by our family and surroundings? ESPECIALLY given the fact she was raised in a disenfranchised area of New Orleans. That alone holds so much!!!!! Knowing your history IS introspection…omfg
