They've...Just gotten rid of all I liked in the previous book. Lyra acts like an entirely different person, we've only had one chapter from her point of view, no more Iorek, the new world they're in isn't interesting, and all the mystery of Dust has been replaced with ...dark matter? Consciousness? And anger at the church? Buddy, I don't disagree, I'm an atheist and don't like the Church either...but this is boring
