A compelling Crime novel.

I have to space out any Crime novels that are billed as excellent, but deal with missing kids/abductions. The toughest read in this sub-genre, Billy by Whitley Strieber, is a bit of a different thing than this book, because you as a reader are with the kid, and it’s a brutal reading experience. This is the other side, where you’re with the cops and the parents, and you don’t know what has happened.

Right, so it looks like this underwent a title change, after it got on my radar as Burnt Paper Sky. When decided to pursue a copy, I didn’t know about the more recent editions with the new moniker…buuuuut I don’t think I paid much for this earlier incarnation. I kind of like this title, by the way.
