Korean stories about looking down on women, from women’s POV, just make me empathize for their struggle - like I can’t imagine being in corporate and automatically belittled just because i’m a woman. I’m so grateful that even though the Philippines is still lagging a lot in terms of development, I can confidently lead on the workplace and have female leaders to look up to.

I woke up at 3am and immediately wanted to continue reading. Books have gave me a good alternative to doomscrolling. I really empathize with the characters in this book. This is similar to how I felt when I read Kim Jiyoung Born 1982. Their friendship has kept them together and kept them sane.

I have underlined so many sentences already. The author really knows how to depict female longing and how girls in their twenties think. I talked about this book to my book club yesterday, but the past few pages have unfolded more things about the characters that I now like it more than when I shared about it. Reading is so nice, I didn’t feel the hour go by.
