Not only do the ghosts appear fully physical, having the ability to persuade the children, but it seems they can affect them mentally, even possessing them.
Godbless the mc for having actual good ideas when combatting this.
I also like the companion. Though she isn't very smart, she does her best to support the governess and protect the children. I predicted she would get in the way, but I was wrong!

This is the first book I've read where ghosts are so physically present. Although silent, they can be seen in plain daylight with much detail. It's odd that no one really has this in their stories, it's always vague.

I read a review that said the main character had no character nor motivation, but that's not true. She has a hero complex and feels proud that she has such an important job, and hopes that many people will see her this way too. This makes her act with confidence she doesn't truly have, to "play the part" of the role she assumes.
