Jung opens this book in saying that (paraphrasing) there is a minority of political bad actors/extremists that, out of our own humanitarianism, we allow to live amongst us in society, and that our only defense against their ideals taking over is the education of the masses, but that we can’t shouldn’t be over confident in how how impenetrable the masses are to such ideals.
