Outstanding, loved it. Was enthralled by its thesis, the depth of learning I made and its writing. Never thought an art history book would so thoroughly engross me. Loved the positionality of the author too, felt like a collegial conversation not a lecture, even tho so rich in facts and figures and so well researched. Loved the long explanations around some of the paintings too, so well contextualised.
