I feel like older people in this book do a decent amount of calling children sexy or admiring their looks. I don’t love that.

I wonder if ms Christie is a misogynist? She seems to be quite unkind about women being shrill or ugly or stupid or silly and running away with a bad guy. Tones of victim blaming, but the men get to be handsome. Interesting.

Interesting that we get the facts almost exclusively from dialogue. It’s different from currently written books.
