Okay. This books is not appropriate for children.
I guess it’s my fault for not doing research beforehand but once we got to chapter 4 I was definitely DNFing for the girls. Not that it’s bad at all it’s actually a very sad and interesting story but touches topics of death, slavery, servitude etc that my 6 & 7 year olds are not ready to read about. Will pick this up on my own another time.
