Ooh that makes sense… many myths and legends are related to science, and that makes me wonder- I mean they’re all based on reality but maybe they’re not myths?

I’m gonna be a genetics nerd here lol- our blood types are actually a combination of our parent’s blood types! Basically, if you have A or B (or AB) they both have a specific protein unique to the gene that influences blood type. O blood, however, does not have these proteins. A and B are dominant or codominant traits, meaning if one parent has this blood type, you will as well. The genotypes for blood can be AO or BO if one parent has type O blood, but only the type A blood will be produced bc it’s a dominant trait. This is why type O is the “universal donor”, they don’t produce the proteins that cause a negative transfusion reaction so thus blood type can be donated to almost anyone (there are a few very rare blood types that are exceptions to this) anyway sorry for the rant I just thing genetics and science are awesome and I like to yap :3

@livi wait that is actually so cool. @pierce i thought noah’s ark just had a shit load of animals there were people too????
@Livi Bro this is giving me flashbacks to punnet squares in honors bio last year... I am SO bad at biology, kudos to you. You're really smart omg@Sofi See Emilio's reply!! :)
@Noelle Bro I genuinely had to look it up when I saw the quote omg
wth bro. then why my bio teacher getting all technical bout it when she could just say that. woulda made life way easier chat
@pierce I LOVE PUNNET SQUARES BRO (I am the only person I know who likes biology besides my teacher lmao)
@Livi Bro biology genuinely ate me alive, I only liked the part when we were learning how to identify if people were related thru their genes lol
@livi i LOVE punnet squaresss!! bio was so fun except for when we had to memorize a ton of anatomy processes lol. i love the more conceptual, logic-based stuff tho
@lj punnet squares my beloved <333 and I want to be doctor so I’m an anatomy warrior rn but I def also like the logic puzzle parts of science more than the memorizing stuff (the lab hates to see me coming I love dissection and making diagrams) @pierce it’s definitely not for everyone I just love it bc I like the puzzle of figuring out how stuff works and I feel like it’s so applicable to the wider world :3 but people have different talents/interests and that’s part of the fun of being different:D
