INCITING INCIDENT: The inciting incident happened when Lexie's dad died and has to work half time with this controlling guy named Theo. On page 17 it says, " You need to come to your dad's office the day after tomorrow. There's a meeting and you need to be there." This incident means that Lexie has to work there for her whole life with Theo because her dad died and the company is relying on her to work there.

VISUALIZE: When I read my book, I create an image in my mind. For example, on page 89 it says, " the ceremony took place in a woodland burial ground, where you could hear the rustle of animals' brave enough to venture out in the cold." I can visualize what the ceremony would look like and how the background would look like.

TEXT TO TEXT- The character Lexie feels like she doesn't belong in her family. This relates to this other book I read called " Sunkissed" because the girl in the book also felt alone and didn't belong in the family. This shows that Lexie and Avery don't feel a part of the family and both don't fit in.

CHARACTERIZATION: Lexie is immature; she tries to escape from being an adult by traveling around the world. She also has trust problems from her past. On (page 28) it says, " Why are you being nice to me?" she mumbled, her voice hitching on a sob. This shows that Lexie is immature and has trust problems.
