Yes, I'd rather be reading my own book… but if I can't get him to read it on his own, I'll join him! And yes, it will count toward my books read this year! 😂 I don't care if it's a kids' book… it's still a chapter book!

My 9-year old son chose this 4th grade level book from the library, but has been refusing to read it on his own. Snow days provide a great opportunity to snuggle together and read aloud (or with my 6-year old daughter in any case). My son is in the same room playing with Lego mini figs and making explosion noises (but can also answer comprehension questions when I pause and ask them), so here we are. ❄️
