Truman Show vibes, but misty is accepting the world she’s painting and getting trapped in the machine that is this weird ass place. Like she’s in a trance

I’m starting to get comfortable with the writing style and the story is getting interesting. Art is Misty’s super power? How does the diary know the future and why does the whole town want her to pursue painting. Perfect circles, shapes and lines?

Im starting to get in the flow with Chuck’s writing style. I’ve already audibly cringed multiple times. He knows how to make physical pain feel real and mentally uncomfortable. A lot of warm colors, like yellow and red, are mentioned often.

What is the point of this story? Is it Misty’s diary I’m reading or Peter’s after he’s told what’s happening while in a coma?
