From what I have gathered from the magic system (most from what I gather has been info dump, so still a bit unsure about alot of thing) is that it is a mixture of Full Metal Alchemy and Allomancy.

I'm not sure how much there is an "equivalent exchange" like in FMA. I don't know if you're familiar with The Last Airbender but I pictured the alchemy in this book being like bending? Like they're able to physically manipulate specific elements they're attuned to, including some that can manipulate things in the human body. The info dumping does slow down further on but then the ending is pretty complex
