Tugged at the heart strings and did make me cry. All the pages of what happens when you are in between living and dying is pretty cliché. You can talk to those you love. You can be with the ones you love when you die. It’s a trope because no one knows what happens. The fact that those “conversations” are part of what moved the story along was strange. The backstories, especially Dorothy’s, was fresh.
