There's bits and pieces that are interesting to me but overall I'm just whelmed. I want more description and less info dumping.

The explanation of Ben's power is baffling, but in my headcanon he's essentially a chi master who loves garden metaphors.

The romance is bland but serviceable so far. I'm anticipating a 2.5-3 star rating of it doesn't ramp up the intrigue, romance or setting.
