Now in part 2 where he is around 60 years old. Apparently Veronica’s mother passed and gave him 500£ and Adrian’s diary though when reviving the dairy was missing. After some digging it turns out Veronica “stole” the diary and kept it to herself. Though it is a mystery of the reason I believe there may be some connection to Veronica to the suicide of Adrian though I am unsure. He met up with his ex to ask.

Now she decided to break up with him but before they spit up she sleeps with him but then accusing him of taking advantage of her. After a while he says he’s hanging out with onther group of people and he decides to travel meeting an American girl who he also sleeps with. He states a dilemmas in this part. He compares his ex with the American girl and how things were less complicated with the American.

Now the story has developed. The group of freind have moved all to different places, while they letter one another the author is trying to hint at the unraveling of the friend group. The author also gets a girlfriend though he says thing like “when I was dating her” which means they broke up. The author still met her parents and while the father and son were regular something was mysterious about the mother.

I find it interesting. So far the book is writer from the perspective of a man speaking about his youth. How he had 3 a friend group with another friend that joined later. He is considered the smart, philosophical friend though they all seem studious. It is set in London and we know the time period when they were kids were before phones were invented though since they were mentioned they will possibly appear later.
