Wish I’d like the art style but I don’t. And that’s essential (for me) to enjoy a manga. I can deal with weird stories and plot holes and whatnot but not with art I dislike. 😭

I agree with your description of the artistic style. It is not my cup of tea either and the film version is much more elegant. But a good story will keep me reading. I am hoping that the series will unfold in an emotionally fulfilling direction.
