I like the way Sayers invokes gothic imagery without actually being gothic, i.e. calling the perpetrator the Poltergeist, the college is basically a castle, but at the same time it almost functions as a cloister.

I am really enjoying this, although I simply cannot keep all the names straight with their respective position at Shrewsbury, and that is proving difficult. I keep having to go back to earlier chapters.
