What is not working?

A lot. The Worldbuilding is lacking a lot, nothing is explained. The characters lack depth and i couldn't connect or care. And the premise only takes place in like 25% of the book, the rest ist about random other characters. The "plot" is all over the place but at the same time without a clear direction.. and a lot doesn't make sense to me..

I understand what you mean. I am only 10% through, but I have heard it's a book that starts strong and gets confusing after a while. At the moment, I don't mind a lack of explanation of the world building, but at some point you need at least some information to be able to imagine how things happen.

I hope you can enjoy it more. It just wasn't for me 😅
