Just finished the chapter on spiritual warfare. This has been such an enjoyable and eye-opening read. I think I’m about 2/3 through, so we shall see what’s left.
The next chapter is entitled “The destiny of the darkness and the victory of the light”

Been really enjoying this systematic approach to angelology, demonology and Satan. This along with the Reformed Fringe podcast have given me lots of things to think through biblically about this topic.

This has been a very helpful resource in understanding the nature of spiritual beings. I really appreciate the way this book breaks down the topics. First covering angels, then satan, then demons. The way my mind works this has been very helpful in understanding this topic.

This book has very interesting so far. Cosmology/angelology/demonology have been topics I haven’t really studied out a whole lot. But it’s very, very interesting.

What were your three most eye-opening takeaways?

Well I’ve been digging into this topic for a while. Idk if there have been 3 “eye-opening” takeaways but the biggest eye-opener was how often scripture speaks about angels, demons, and spiritual warfare. I appreciate this book is digging into this topic but in the prologue he stresses that angels/demons are background characters in the grand scheme of things so they should never be put in the forefront of any theological stances. They’re important but they’re not main characters.
The different positions on angel/demon involvement, spiritual warfare, and “deliverance” ministries was all good stuff. I really feel like this book was more about laying out info and poking holes in every position so you can personally draw conclusions for yourself so that was also really cool.
Have you read this book yet?
I was recommended this book in a fb group and it was great. I’ve read Michael Heiser’s Unseen Realms and really enjoyed that. Been listening to the Reformed Fringe/Kingdom Unveiled podcast also.
