One theme across the first two chapters was the direct correlation between successful nations and lack of corruption in their institutions. This was one of the main points in one of my favorite books: Lee Kuan Yew's "From Third World to First." A takeaway from both books is that it's crucial to always hold our government accountable in the highest regard to avoid any level of corruption & becoming a "failing nation."
