Suspension of disbelief is an interesting thing- I'm willing to accept trees that discharge high voltage electricity, 'Tombs' where time slowly moves backwards, a terrifying 'Shrike' who can control time at its whim, prehensile-toed 'Ousters'; what rankles me is that when said Shrike slows down time, the laser beams start moving slower too. Whatever happened to Special Relativity?
