I’m about 10% in, and the shift from Book 1 is noticeable. Alexis is clearly dealing with trauma and revenge, but her sharp inner voice feels muted compared to before. In Book 1, her snark and observational wit made her feel real and engaging. Right now, she feels more hollow and reactive.
