Busy day, can’t believe my lack of progress. It’s not very enjoyable as a poem now, takes a lot of concentration to try to follow along. I’m also befuddled at the constantly changing names and versions that have very different endings and names. It’s all over the place, very jarring to read, esp with Chris’s interjections that a lot of the time I have no idea what he’s talking about. #lost

Very busy bday and barely got to read. I am very ready to be done because it’s pretty exhausting reading variations of the same story over and over again. I don’t like the format of this book and could do without all the extra irrelevant info,

Idk what to say. I had this story spoiled by reading the Silmarillion and waited until I forgot. Then his son completely ruined the story by giving spoiler after spoiler in the preface. I had to skip ahead. The story was so fast and so short. Now it’s more info from son and then onto the poem. I’m so confused. Literally every single person/being/place has changed names, I’m so lost it isn’t even funny.
