don't particularly enjoy the constant distancing from "cold" stereotypical autistics.
Putting them down is earlier seen as negative, but i feel like it is implicitly and not consciously done in this passage.
"We're not all bottoned up at home" is one instance, but this sentiment is almost defensively repeated in the whole section about substance abuse (which i also can relate to)
