Putting them down is earlier seen as negative, but i feel like it is implicitly and not consciously done in this passage.
"We're not all bottoned up at home" is one instance, but this sentiment is almost defensively repeated in the whole section about substance abuse (which i also can relate to)

The tales of systematic, abuse, discrimination and othering, are horrendous

the part abt the extrovertet autistics and their struggles being underestimated is really tragic :/

already upset abt it studying psychology to understand how other ppl work and trying to not be excluded :/
