I am loving this book. The Duke is I don't know how to describe him. My only wish is that the author would have edited down the number of pages. Yes they are good but make it too long.

Overly long books without any point for the excess length are annoying. I'm intrigued about the duke. Nondescript? Indescribable? What's the right word? 😂

He is so puffed up with his own "importance" he could never marry a bastard. So of course he becomes enchanted with her. Normally I like action in my books. This one the writing has held my attention. I am at 70% and the start of the groveling part. Not overly handsome but nice to look at and in good shape.
I'm glad your enjoying this book. Theo biggest problem with the story is the length.

Merry can you please say whether he has a mistress or sleeps around after they get married? And also is she a plain mousey MFC or actually has a backbone and spirit!
No he makes a point of keeping his vows. The MFC has a great style and backbone.
