okay wow, the first half of the book is already so heavy, i’m so curious to find out what the other half is gonna do to me, i feel so so so sorry for what i said about this book in the beginning, and im so glad i did not dnf this bc mhairi is an incredibly talented writer

the writing is so bad omg, like the vocabulary she’s using is complicated but the way she writes normal sentences is too simple 😭 and it’s so hard to get into it’s in 1st person but at times it feels like it’s in 3rd person because of the way she’s writing it like ugh, and she introduced the characters all at once idk i didn’t like it, im gonna keep pushing though i don’t want to dnf it too early
