After 911 occured Changez was going through security and they did a personal check 2 separate times and that goes to show how serious the security got in airports after 911 happened. I agree with Changez because when I go to the airport I find it very repetitive and time consuming when you have to go through security. I at least appreciate it though because they are making sure everyone is safe during their travels.

In the middle of the book we start to notice Changez embarrassing his pakistani and starting to leave behind the lifestyle he has in America. A crucial moment is when Changez decides to not shave his beard despite knowing how his co workers, and others will view him. I think that other rebellious moments like this will eventually cause Changez to go back to Pakistan leaving behind his life in The United States.

Changez got a job at underwood samson which is a prestigious valuation and consulting firm. Changez explains his work at underwood samson as and how he embraces its focus on fundamentals. Changez mainly focuses on analytical skills and growing status at the firm. Even though he found success, he began to sense conflict between his corporate role and his personal values.

When Changez saw the first plane hit the world trait center tower it said that he showed a slight smile when it happened.my thinking about why he smiled was that he is from Pakistan and the religion they practice is Muslaniam and the muslims were the ones who attacked the towers on 9/11 so maybe he knew it was the muslims the whole time. I also think he didn’t know how serious it was at the time.

Changez was compared to a lioness in his interview. I could relate to that because a lot of the time I have gotten compared to things that I am not similar to in my life. I feel like a lot of the time I get misunderstood. Changez got labeled as a strong and sleek person. I'm not saying being strong or sleek is bad, in fact they are good things but I'm saying I get misunderstood a lot of the time.

During the job interview Changez was told that he had a temper after snapping at the interviewer because he kept asking questions about how international students get treated differently in the financial aid process.I could relate to this because I have been told the same thing before and how I can have a temper and get very short with people in many different situations.I have had a temper since the day I was born.

This year I have suffered an injury setting me back a big portion of the season. I can relate to Changez getting a knee injury before his soccer season because he was talking about how it felt like he was missing one of the most important years for his growth and development as a soccer player. I felt the same and could relate because I didn’t treat my injury properly resulting in me missing a lot of my season.
