I don't think enough time was given to revealing the authority's identity and motives. It felt very rushed.

Yeeran is insufferable with her naivete. She will be the reason why I DNF an otherwise amazing book. Her choices betray her supposed expertise as a leader in a killer army. Girl, I feel like im watching the character deterioration of Tyrion Lanister all over again.
