It’s so frustratingly realistic the story that is being spun about what happened at the party. Logic doesn’t seem to exist, because someone just doesn’t bite someone else ear off because they are “freaky” that’s not how that works. The abuser will always spin the story in their favor

This reminds me so much of “addiction brain”. “Wanting to use my dead brothers money…” for a fix, the fix becoming louder and more important then real life.

I was talking with my mom about this book, and about literature and cannibalism. It’s so interesting how it is used metaphorically. Like in this scenario it’s being born from responding to occurring trauma… she had no option to be human in that moment… so you bite… hard
