I'm confused.
This book takes place in, I would guess, 2024. Maybe a bit earlier. When the characters were younger, it would be 2014 at best.
They are both acting like phones did not exist. We are using landlines at best here
And what is even the excuse that two supposedly best friends did not reach out to each other AT ALL during school time?
And why didn't Gray visit? Liverpool is an hour away ffs
