“The lieutenant can go kiss a buffalo. You think I wanna lead them pilgrims through the wilderness? Do I look like an Israelite? I’d be a stark ravin’ lunatic ’fore we got there.” Preacher threw back his head and roared, “Where’s my gawddamn clothes?”

“Burned ’em! Why didn’t they just boil ’em good? I ain’t had them clothes on more’n a month.”

This book sounds kinda interesting 🤔 Do you think this is a book I would enjoy, Daniel? Bc we seem to have rather similar tastes in books.

Bc we seem to have rather similar tastes in books."This is a genre that I absolutely LOVE ... historical fiction/westerns ... and the Johnstones (uncle and nephew) are the best I've found at it. They have hundreds of books and almost all have ratings in the mid-4s. There's a good reason for that. I've just posted some samples and if you like that style of writing and the plot blurbs, I think you should at least give this a try. You'll know quickly if it hits right for you. I've read over a dozen "Smoke Jensen" ('Mountain Man') books and the character of "Preacher" (not the other one we've been reading about! 😆) plays a major part in those. So I decided to back-pedal and read the "Preacher" ('First Mountain Man') books from the beginning before continuing with the Smoke Jensen books. THEN there's the "Matt Jensen" ('Last Mountain Man') books! All are very long series so I'll be reading them for the rest of my natural life, I am sure. 😅 Just super fun, action, drama!
Alright, you have me sold!! I adore you and your recommendation and how you can sell a story. So I just purchased this first story via Kindle with Audiobook. And you do know when I saw the word “preacher” my mind went to the graphic novels that we love.

That's not *really* meant as shade to anyone, but you and I do share common interest in a number of different genres whereas most others on my VERY short friends list (that's intentional 😉) stick to one or two genres.
