Why do authors love the miscommunication trope!? There has to be other ways to create tension and conflict. I hate how the characters kept jumping to the absolute worst conclusions instead of having simple conversations. Kat is so annoying and immature. Her character acted like a lovesick teenager instead of a grown ass woman who's supposed to lead a major company.
