The Marriage Aldarion and Erendis is a sad tale that covers the romance, courtship of Aldarion who would become King of Numenor and his strong willed wife, Erendis.Aidorion unlike his father who studied the stars, loved the sea. He became a bold mariner but his wife loved the land and tree-husbandry. Like the Ents and Enteives they became incompatible. Like the island itself, they start glorious and fall.

In truth up to this point most of the book is filled with details like someone giving me a survey that is geographical in nature. I have learned about what plants and animals were coming upon the five pointed island. One important point; the elves consider the fact that humans die a “doom“ but it’s clear from the narrative that it is in fact an entryway into a larger existence. Numinorians with long lives
