my only issue with how things went down @ old library is that they should have been more cautious with letty. not the main cohort -- the older group. as principled revolutionaries, they should have known better than to trust her.
the whole thing reminds me of encounters with liberals who sometimes infiltrated meetings at my marxist-leninist org in college, but the stakes are so much higher.

i loved (almost) every second of this. i cried so much during the last hundred or so pages. the book isn't without its flaws (some parts of the magic system broke immersion and the siege section felt a bit drawn out), but this is one of my favorite books i've read in years.

i really wish goodreads operated on a 10 star scale (with decimals!); i give this an 8.5/10. for context: the only pieces of media that i've ever given above a 9.5 are inside mari (manga) and neon genesis evangelion (anime), and undertale (game).
