Irie's story about her hair was pretty intersectional and fantastic.

This book might have started out slow, but it has completely drawn me in... Samad's anxiety reminds me A LOT of Chip from the Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. (Which is fantastic because he is one of my all-time favorite book characters.)
