I'm curious to see if my viewpoint changes as I keep reading. I tend to read a lot of books with similar themes and settings, and this one just isn't connecting with me like those. Right now, it's feeling a bit surface level and one dimensional, but I'm still very much in the set up / exposition, so we'll see if it grows.
