The thing with Charlie is getting more interesting, and making me wonder whether they will actually make it out together. I could easily see the book ending with March failing to make it out after guaranteeing Charlie’s safety and ensuring Luther gets his info to America.

The book has just revealed its ultimate secret, which the reader obviously already knew was coming due to basic history knowledge. The way the book handles it is engaging and really puts the emphasis on what March and Charlie could even do to escape with the information they’ve just uncovered. It seems nearly hopeless.

March is getting closer and closer to the answer, yet also getting closer and closer to his death. It’s very engaging.

The love plot has gone more or less how I expected, somewhat faster paced, but not egregiously so. As the story begins to close in on the final moments, with March’s time running out, it seems like it’s still so far from being complete. At the same time, it seems like March is right on the edge of discovering the key to everything.

There is starting to be a romance aspect with Maguire and March seems to be getting close. The romance with Maguire is going slow, which is a good choice so far.
