While I was reading this book, today, July 4th, 2024, a man came to the door to help hurry along another extinction. He told me that a bunch of my neighbors have hired him because they are seeing silverfish and crickets and, OMG, SPIDERS! I told him I was super glad to know there were so many bugs around. After all, I just planted a native garden, and my little green anoles and baby birds need food to eat.
