Okay it took me a full half the book, and there are still moments where wonder why she spends so much damn time ranking people on her "uglier than me or not?" scale, but Kelsea is starting to win me over.

Having a better experience with this the second time around, though there's still something about the characterization of Kelsea that gets on my nerves.

Oh, for pity's sake.

I'm not not enjoying this, but I'm getting a little tired of hearing about how "plain" Kelsea is, and how this colors all of her interactions with men she meets. Even the other Queen has to be all "man, she's plain". Come on, now.
