had no idea that appalachia has consistently fought tooth and nail against the rest of tennessee & the south to get to the right side of history. how convenient that the history in this book really isn’t taught to tennesseeans now considering it would redirect their rage toward capitalism/elites instead of toward their poc neighbors.
