Not an update about "I Want to Die," but about this online reading life: I'm thinking of switching to storygraph to avoid Jeff Bezos and a relentless algorithm powered by capitalism. Has anyone made the jump? If so, please let me know what your thoughts are.

I have and although some of the stats tracking is better, overall I found it a little lacklustre. Not being able to see or rank reviews defeats a lot of what I look for in a book platform. I’ve recently moved to Margins and so far find it better than Storygraph but it’s still missing the social aspect of GR so at the moment I’m using both.

Oh! Okay interesting. I haven't even heard of Margins. I feel like I want to try a different platform, but regardless of how good any platform is, there has to be a big audience of people there for it to really take off. Could you merge your data from GR to Margins?
I've just opened a storygraph account cause agreed sc**w Jeff Bezos. I couldn't find Margins on the app store for androids

I love Storygraph because the rating system is better and allows for .25 increments and the mood of the book. I also like that I add books that I own so I can see what books I read from my personal library and I recently started joining challenges where I can read books based on prompts from my local bookstore or library.
