Leviathan is experiencing the three forms of consciousness, cerebral consciousness through eating, knowing, and union in thought, culinary consciousness through said three above, and carnal consciousness through said three. This makes me think they're on to something. Only a few mystical states documented in the literature suggest they are to do with experiencing everything at the same time & what that would be like.

The Gra was just being a good Jew by studying so hard/much in order to hasten the redemption. It's what his religion said and via logic, all he knew.
