This has been a very difficult book for me to read, not because it’s centered around slavery but because it’s just a difficult read in general. As I’m nearing the end I can appreciate more and more the poetry that creates this book.

There have been many WTF moments and surprisingly relatable moments as well. I’m anxious to see how this ends.
